Template Mashup Challenge

If there ever was a time to use templates, it is during the busy holiday season. Nancy Beck chose two templates and the challenge is to use parts of both templates to create a brand new scrapbook page. She enlisted the help of Wendy and Lisa from the Designer Digitals Creative Team to provide example layouts. I am helping Nancy out today to showcase the two chosen templates because Nancy is down with a bug. Get well soon, Nancy!

The templates for the Mashup Challenge:

Layer Works No 381

Layered Memories 152

Layer Works No. 381

Layered Memories 152

What fun to use the photo arrangement from the Layered Memories template and then add as many or as few embellishments from the Layer Works Template, or, perhaps, you will merge the photo arrangements together from both of these great templates.

Here’s how Wendy and Lisa combined the templates. Wendy’s favorite subjects for layouts lately are football photos. Her son’s team has enjoyed a terrific football season this year. Lisa and family visited Santa this month and Lisa’s page shows off the super cute photos.

Wendy used the following products from the Designer Digitals store in addition to the templates: Collageable Notions: December, Grungy Wonderland Paper Pack, Naturally Krafty No. 8 Paper Pack, Assorted Messy Stitches: Black No. 03, Basic Paper Alphabet Black No. 01, and the epoxy is from Scrap Express No. 107.

Lisa used Sparkly Christmas Paper Pack, Merry and Bright Scrapbook Collection, Shimmer Flake Clusters,  Pound # Christmas Brushes and Stamps and the new Jolly Good Edgers Brushes and Stamps No. 05.

Many thanks, Wendy and Lisa, for your inspiring pages using the templates. Both templates will be on sale on Thursday at 30% savings. In addition to posting your page in the Template Challenge Gallery, be sure to also post in the December Challenge Participation Sign Up in the Forum to get credit towards the new Rewards Program at Designer Digitals.
