Scrapbook Template Challenge: Mad Mash-Up

Hello and welcome to the Template Challenge!  If you haven’t joined us in a while, we’ve given this challenge a fun new twist.  We’re playing with two templates and seeing what we can create out of some aspects of each.  For this challenge, I chose Adore You Layered Template by Katie Pertiet and Scrap Express 156 by Lynn Grieveson.

The Creative Team was excited to see what they could create with these two, so let’s take a look at what they came up with.

First up is Kelly (mugsbigsis)

Kelly 9:18 challenge

Kelly created this fall stunner for our viewing pleasure.  She wove various elements from each of the templates in so seamlessly, it was fun to try to identify them.  I love that she recolored the adore you sticker to better suit her warm fall colors and I fell head over heels for the striped paper blending that she did to mimic sun rays!  Brilliant, Kelly!

In addition to the featured templates, she used Flourishing Leaves (**Coming Soon**), Arlesey Scrapbook Collection, Maybe Tomorrow Kit, Almost There Kit, Autumnal Artistry Add-on Brushes and Stamps, New Growth Brushes and Stamps No. 07, and Textbook Phrase Clips No. 01.

Next, we have a fabulous take by Debi (beehive50)

Debi 9:18 challeng

If you follow Debi’s gallery like I do, you know she is a master of graphic design.  When she volunteered to help with this challenge, I couldn’t wait to see what she would come up with in keeping with her trademark style and she did not disappoint!  She kept it clean and added a couple of her own little touches.  She pulled her daughter’s college soccer team’s logo down from the internet to use on her page and I love how the placement and pull of her journaling block reminds me of a banner hanging from the team logo!  Bravo, Debi, well done!

In additon to the templates, Debi used: Textured Cardstock Cape.

I have one last page for you from myself, (nancybeck)

I had fun creating a page for our dog “Rookie’s” first birthday. I just started pulling over various elements of the two and moving them around until I was satisfied with the result.  I had no idea what I was going to scrap when I chose the two templates for this challenge and that ended up being a big part of the fun!  I just decided to trust that I had two sets of great bones to work with and to just have fun with the process.

In addition to the templates, I used: Filmed Photo Masks No. 05, Library Paperie No. 02, Winter Artistry Paper, Doodle Do Words Birthday 01, Dara Kit, Birthday Brushes and Stamps 01, and Party Balloons.

S0 that is a wrap for this time.  I do hope that you will find the time to play along.  Both templates will be on sale Thursday at a 30% savings. In addition to posting your page in the Template Challenge Galley, don’t forget to add your page to the September Challenge Participation Sign In Thread to be sure that you get credit toward our new reward system.
