The Story Scrapbook Challenge

Hi Everyone

Here we are with another Story Scrapbook Challenge and this time I’m going to give you a starting word to base your story on.  The word is …

PRECIOUS

So thinking about this … you might want to scrap a story about an item that is so very precious to you and the reasons why, a precious moment in your life that you want to remember always, a precious memory that you hold close to your heart, a story about a precious person in your life, a precious reminder of something that has happened to you.  I think there are a lot of jumping off points here.

The CT have jumped at the chance to scrap about precious memories and moments in their life.  I wasn’t prepared for what a tear jerker this challenge was going to be when our pages started rolling in.

Oh my!  Myra has scrapped about the most beautiful moment she has been able to give a dear friend in the last stages of his life, remembering why he was held so dear to her.  What a gift to give that man, he would have passed with a feeling of contentment I am sure.

05_Myra_TheStorySupplies used by Myra:  Lots of Shots Template Set No.6 (Lynn Grieveson).  Toothy Paper Packs No. 01, No. 02 and No. 04 (Cathy Zielske).

Amy recently lost her precious mother-in-law and has dedicated a page to her and what she meant to their family, but more specifically the amazing relationship Amy had with her.  The journalling is a true testament to what a wonderful story teller Amy is.

And finally I have told a story about a pair of socks.  I imagine that one day after I’ve gone someone will find these socks and to them, yep, just a pair of socks.  But I’m so so glad I have told the story as to why they are so important to me.  That’s the best part of scrapbooking.

Love the story challenges. While I won’t have time to participate in this one, I loved the touching stories of the three layouts shown. Thanks for sharing and also for the freebie from Katie. It will certainly be put to good use as I plan to do this challenge for myself later.

Love the challenge and the examples are wonderful! I clicked on the link to download the freebie, but it won’t download, Hightail gives me an error code when I click on the download link.
