The Story Scrapbook Challenge

Back again for this month’s Story Scrapbook Challenge and I want you to turn your mind to a story, literally!

Do you have a favourite storybook?  A childhood favourite?  A book that has changed your life?  A book that you remember long after the last page has been read?   Have you written a book?  Have you been published?  Have you got dreams of one day writing the next big best seller?  Do you get lost in a book and only surface to realize the hours have gone past?  Do you have a bookshelf crammed packed with books of every description.  Do you treasure your books, have you got any first editions or autographed copies.

Perhaps create a page giving us the synopsis of a life story of someone special.  How about the opening chapter.  Have you gone through the trials and tribulations of teaching a child to read?  Have you yourself had difficulties in learning to read?  Do you love to read?  Who are your favourite authors?

We want to see your story scrapbook page about … well … a story!

Where do I start with Aino‘s page, it’s magnificent.  It tells of her love and reverence of books, a love she has gotten from her father.  How writing a “book” as a child has lead to poetry and how her dad has been published.  Aino it’s a magnificent story you’ve told, and will explain a lot about you to your children when they see this page.

Supplies used by Aino:   Oceania kit (alpha), Antibes kit (papers and elements), Bookshelf Flairs No.1 (Katie Pertiet).

Debi has created a page that speaks of her love of reading, which sadly went by the way-side, but which she has re-discovered when she got her Nook.  I love this, how an electronic gadget (cause don’t we all love those!!) brought her back full circle to a love of reading.
