Story Scrapbook Challenge

I want to go rogue random this month.  I want you to delve into your phone and just pick out a photo.  And I want you to tell that story.  Let the story behind the photo come to life.   Why did you take the pic?  Was it to save that moment in time?  Was it a pic of a gorgeous meal?  Was it to capture an emotion?  A beautiful sunset?  Something you wanted to remember?  Why do we take the pics we do, those quick snaps on the phone.   Give one of those photos credence, don’t just let it add up as one of umpteen pics on your phone buried, never to see the daylight again, give us the story behind the pic.   Bring the moment to life.  Make it part of your story.

And okay okay, if you don’t have a phone or don’t take pics with your phone, go get your calendar, pick a day and give us the story, what happened, why was it a great day, bad day, whatever day.

The creative team have jumped on board with some terrific example pages:

Guest CT member Jane has documented a terrific moment.  The funny face her son pulls which drove her to distraction, but now is so entrenched in their family photo taking that it’s become a treasured part of their story.  Awesome page Jane.  No one will ever have to wonder why this face is pulled when looking at your family albums.

Supplies Jane has used:   Layer Works No. 849~pieces,  Layer Works No. 948~pieces,  Layer Works No. 699~title (altered),  Boo Border Layers No. 01,  Love Sent Brushes and Stamps No. 01,  Abisko Element Pack,  Striping Graphic Brushes and Stamps No. 01.

Guest CT member Stacia has captured a moment and in reading her journalling I was right along for that walk with her, experiencing the sights and sounds.  Fabulous journalling Stacia, it helped me know what you were looking at and feeling.

Supplies Stacia has used:  Curated Studio Mix Scrapbooking Kit No. 39,  Layer Works No. 334,  Worth Repeating Brushes and Stamps No. 35,  Hey There Kit,  Almost There Kit,  South Beach Add-On Paper Pack,  Around Words Frames: Summer.

In true Debi style her page is a knock out.  She picked just one of 100’s (more likely 1000’s) of pics she took on a holiday road trip with her daughter and gave that photo life, let us in on how wonderful that day of road tripping was.  And how’s that knock out title work.

Supplies Debi has used:  Textured Whites Paper Pack No. 03,  Hike More Outdoors Scrapbook Element Pack,  Flair Minis No. 01

And for my page, how could I not take this photo.  I despair thinking of future generations looking back on my photos and not knowing the story behind them, thank heavens for my scrapbook pages!

Supplies I have used:  Watery Photo Masks No. 16,  Arctic Whites Paper Pack No. 02,  Roughed Up Pocket Cards: Silver No. 01,  Scribbling Brushes and Stamps No. 01,  Roughed Up Pocket Cards: Ledger No. 01,  Fastener Basics No. 01,  Journal Strips No. 01,  Bling Alphabet: Silver.
