Story Scrapbook Challenge

Your mission, should you wish to accept is to delve into your photos, be it on the computer, framed on the mantle, in amongst those saved on the phone and pick one of your faves.  And that’s the story I want you to tell.

I want you to give that photo the reverence it deserves – tell us about it, tell us about the day, what was going on in your life when you took it, who is in it, what’s their story, what’s the story of the photograph, what happened afterwards, what was the day like, who said what???

It might be a silly photo, a photo of an object, a photo of a family member or beloved pet, a photo of a scenic landscape remembering a vacation long since passed, a favourite dinner, anything at all.   If it speaks to you, then let it speak to us.  Give us the scoop.

Every photo has a story, we often dismiss it with the zillions of photos we can snap today, but I want you to tell the story behind of one of your special photos.

I have been spoilt this month for choice, the creative team have jumped on board with some terrific example pages:

Oh my gosh, I actually remember this story that Debi is telling, I remember the instagram post and I’m still chuckling just as hard now as I did back then.  With you Debi, I’m laughing with you, not at you.  Well … maybe a little bit 😉  It’s definitely a story that had to be told.

Supplies used by Debi:   Adventuring Solids Paper Pack,  Blendable Layers No. 15,  Pebbled Universal No. 02,  Big Bottom Lift Classic Photo Frames No. 01,  Starry Banners No. 02,  Washi Tapes: Whites No. 02,  Say It Brushes and Stamps No. 01

Now Tammie’s page is a gem.  Oh how I want to hang out with her.   I firstly love the pic of her up there looking all comfy on the horse with her spurs that jingle jangle jingle.  But the story, oh the story, soooo much more depth to just looking at the photograph, who knew all of that was behind one photo of a woman on a horse.  So glad you’ve told that Tammie.   Please do visit Tammie’s page and read this story, it’s a corker.

Supplies used by Tammie:  Star Spangled Mini Kit,  My Country Mini Kit,  ARTpack Arboretum Brushes and Stamps No. 01,  Wild Horses Brushes and Stamps,  Evergreen Classics Brushes and Stamps No. 01,  Wild Horses Element Pack,  Bridle Creek Element Pack,  DelMar Shores Element Pack

Stacia’s photo just shows a grandmother and grandson looking at something, no idea what.  Until you read the story, everything unfolds.  The love they obviously have for each other, what they were doing, the type of day it was.  This is what it’s all about isn’t it, this is why we scrapbook, all the moments told, the story is foremost, the photograph just ties it in.  Love it.

And for my page, just a silly little selfie that has become one of my all time favourites, so I’ve given it the due credit it deserves so I remember that day, where we were, what we were doing.  Just one of those silly little memories I don’t want to forget.  And there it is and will take pride of place in my album.

Supplies I have used:  Forever Fresh Solids Paper Pack,  Everlasting ReMix Scrapbooking Kit,  Vintage Photo Frames No. 44,  Classic Deckled Photo Frames No. 01,  Watery Grids Brushes and Stamps No. 01,  Pinned Enamel Hearts No. 01,  Handscripted Brushes & Stamps No.7,  Pacific Sea Paper Pack
