Babies – they’re in all our lives. We have babies, we have grandbabies, we have furbabies, we have nieces and nephews, we have friend’s babies, we have been babies. This month I want you to tell us a story about a baby and all that goes with it.
This might be a story about your own baby – the road to pregnancy – the way you told your family you were expecting – a birth story – what it felt like to hold your baby in your arms – the trials and tribulations of being a young mother – the importance of a mother’s group.
It might be a story about your grandbaby – what did it feel like to hold your baby’s baby.
Have you adopted a baby, oh my goodness what a journey to be told.
Furbabies are an important part of our lives – feel free to tell the story about your own menagerie that has made your family what it is. The bond between furbaby and human baby is another story not to be forgotten.
What about a story about YOU when you were a baby, I’m sure there’s some old photos and stories to be told. What about the origins of your baby’s name, always a good story in itself.
Or do you not want to have a baby – and there’s nothing wrong with that. Maybe you’d like to scrap about that decision. Or sadly maybe you have wanted to have a baby and it just not happened for you, my heart goes out to you, is it time for scrap therapy?
I want to hear all about babies this month.
The creative team have jumped on board with some terrific example pages.
Guest CT member Uly has created an as sweet as can be page detailing about how surprised and exhausted she was being a young mum. Adorable photo of the baby and dog asleep on her lap. Exquisite.
Products Uly has used: Curated Studio Mix Scrapbooking Kit No. 15, Stamped Blocks No. 29 Brushes and Stamps, Pencil Line Patterns Paper Pack No. 01, Storybook Brushes and Stamps No. 01, Shining Star Clusters No. 01, Hello Holidays No. 01 Brushes and Stamps, Big Bottom Lift Classic Photo Frames No. 01, Daisetta Scrapbook Kit.
Elisabeth’s page has so many beautiful layers and I love the journalling tucked into the squares of the frame like that. Yes, the mess a little one gets into when learning to feed themselves. What a beautiful moment to scrap.
Products Elisabeth has used: Batty Mini Mix, Curated Team Scrapbook Mix No. 08, Curated Team Scrapbook Mix No. 09, Curated Team Scrapbook Mix No. 14, ARToption Mini Mix No. 01, Krafty Tonals Paper Pack No. 01, Graphic Simplicity Brushes and Stamps No. 01, Vintage Journal Spots No. 01, Artistry d’amour Kit, Frame Me No. 02C .
And my page is of a sweet moment captured between my third grandbaby and her mum. And unusual for me, not a lot of journalling, but the words I’ve used tell the story I wanted to relay.
Supplies I have used: Corby Solids Paper Pack, Folded Up Overlays No. 01, Curated Team Scrapbook Mix No. 08, Flare Sprays Brushes and Stamps No. 01, Striping Grunge Brushes and Stamps No. 01, Brilliant Love: Roughed Up Pocket Cards.
