September Color Challenge: In between seasons

We are so lucky to live in a part of the world where fall is most beautiful. The air is crisp and fresh, but the sun is still shining and there is a warm sweet scent in the air. My cozy fireplace is on as I work on writing this post for the September Color Challenge, just to take the chill out! We also get quite a bit of rain at this time of year, so it can be a bit damp in the mornings especially.

There is also something about the colours at this early stage of fall. The trees are still green, but their leaves look like they’ve been magically dipped in red, yellow and orange paint as they are just starting to turn. The summer flowers are almost finished, but still add a bit of a soft colour to the yard, and the fall mums can be found in front of almost every grocery store.

My inspiration for this month’s Colour Challenge comes from this in-between stage where it is not quite fall, but definitely not summer anymore.

Katie has some wonderful products in the store that will work with this colour palette. Perhaps some of these products will spark your creativity!
