Hi all! Hope you had fun at the Quarterly Sale and Chats. We are more than half way through May now and it’s time for a new AAM challenge.
Most people who have been scrapping for awhile have created pages about the origins of their name, the year they were born, their schooling, their home town, etc. Janet and I know that most people with an AAM book in the works have already created these kinds of pages or have no problem coming up with themes like these on their own. Since we only get to provide you with a prompt once a month we are hoping that you’ll find our topics a bit more challenging (hence the name “AAM Challenge) and will find that these will help to create pages dealing with your unique personality to mix in with the pages that tell about the pets you’ve had or your favorite color.
With that being said, Sam and Heather and I have made pages to hopefully inspire you to create a page about a “secret wish.” I don’t really want to give prompts for this one as I want you to scrap whatever comes to mind when you hear these words. If you feel you need prompting you could try filling in the blank: “I secretly wish _______” or “I have a secret wish to ______” or “Secretly I wish _______.” I know they sound basically the same, but when I read the words I actually think in totally different directions. (ok, maybe that’s just me.)
Sam created this magical page that makes me want to mail myself to South Africa for Christmas.
For Sam’s page she used these two kits: Sentiment Flairs No.01 and Sweet Nicholas Kit.
Heather’s page is a beautiful mix of elements, design and journaling that I’m sure will have her sister smiling for days.
Heather used these products to create her page: Bloese Solids Paper Pack, Bloese Element Pack, Jaspia Solids Paper Pack, Clean Stitched Rounded Corners Red No.01, Black, White and Pink Kit, Painted Quatrefoils Brushes and Stamps, Artpack Geometrics Brushes and Stamps No2., Classic Curled Photo Frames No.4, enjoy the Moments Layered Template No2, Curated Studio Mix Scrapbooking Kit No8.
I created my page by typing out my journaling first; and it was the first thing that came to mind.
As you can see we all three went in totally different directions with this challenge, (thus showing a bit of our personalities) and I hope you’re inspired to put in writing (or even just photos) your “secret wish.” If you are willing to share please post your page in the AAM Gallery. If your page contains all Designer Digitals products then it qualifies for the Rewards Program so please share a link in the May Challenge Participation Thread to get credit for your work. I’m looking forward to seeing your pages. Happy Scrapping!
