Saturday Scraplift: To blend or not to blend

Good morning, or afternoon, or evening! It’s my morning still and I’m starting the day off with a fun Saturday Scraplift. This week I chose to lift this lovely blended page by Maureen Reynolds.

This jumped out at me in the gallery for the lovely blending, the simple but very effective red accents and of course Josie’s beautiful smile. So let’s check out how the design team was inspired!

Our first lift this week is by Shannamay (Sharon)

22nd_Oct_Fresh_Air_webSharon really used the inspiration piece as a guide and made a gorgeous page about her walk. All of her details are just lovely!

Blendable Layers No. 31, Fresh Vintage Stacks No. 03, Vintage Photo Frames No. 37, Watery Branches Brushes and Stamps No. 04, Artistry de Sol Element Pack (button), Coral Harvest Mini Kit. Mulberry Blossoms Mini Kit (Disc label – recolored), Ripped and Stitched Do-it-Yourself No. 03

Next up is beehive50 (Debi) and she, well you know Debi, 🙂 she was inspired but just could not blend. It’s not her thing but that’s ok because I love every single page she does and this one is especially fantastic because I’m very partial to the 2 ladies in the photo! Love that they both volunteered for this challenge together. 😀

1510-SSL-12Debi took her inspiration from the layout and the simple elements. Brilliant!

Bessette Solids Paper Pack, DoodleDo Frames No. 12 Brushes and Stamps, (squiggly frame brushes), Hello Happiness Brushes and Stamps (title word art… and yes, I made it a sticker!), Wood Tile Alphabet No. 01 (“S” and “D” wood letters), Foressa Kit

I am bringing up the rear this week with my own take. Ironically, I chose this page because I absolutely loved the blending, and then followed in Debi’s footsteps and didn’t blend! I love that about this challenge…there’s no wrong way to be inspired.

sat scrap - melts my heartMy inspiration came from her layout, the red accents and I too used a photo of people that I love very much. My son had to squat for his sisters to be able to reach his cheeks! 🙂

Uncle Sam Mini Kit, Worth Repeating Overlays No. 02, Stacked Vintage Photo Frames No. 06, Scripted Story Love Brushes and Stamps, Beached Element Pack

Looking forward to seeing where this page takes you, maybe you’ll be surprised where you end up, or not surprised at all! Please post your pages in the Saturday Scraplift Gallery. Remember to keep track of your challenge pages using 100% Designer Digitals products in the October Rewards Thread. I’m looking forward to seeing your pages!
