I hope you are ready for a new Saturday Scraplift and this week we are looking at the big picture. There are some pictures that just need to be big and bold. It could be that the picture is so pretty you don’t want much to distract from its beauty. Or possibly it needs to be the big focal point, but an additional smaller photo or photos helps to tell the story. I always love a big picture page and this one by Sharon (Shannamay) really caught my attention and is our inspiration this week. The big photo is beautiful – but the little one catches the viewers interest and tells a story.
Two of our Creative Team members jumped at the chance to offer their inspired pages. The first page is by Linda (earlofoxford). The focal point photo of the gorgeous mansion is a real eye catcher and the smaller family photo provides the rest of the story. I really like the border she created with the frames, pocket cards and text. And did you notice the clever use of the map torn paper just behind the picture frame? Linda used the following products for her page. Far and Wide Solids Paper Pack, Traveler Clusters No. 04 Brushes and Stamps, Far and Wide Printable Pocket Cards, Far and Wide Travel Scrapbook Kit, Great Escape Element Pack, Holly Jolly Element Pack, Drop Shadow Styles No. 02.
Our second inspired page is from Creative Team member, Lynn (grandma lynnie). Her page shares her excitements over her new second home on the beach. I like how she placed the text on the photo and added additional photos across the bottom of her page. I’m excited for her and may have to go for a visit! For her page she used the following products: Stuffed Edge Photo Frames No. 02, Vintage Mini Mix Kit No. 06, Just Believe Brushes and Stamps, Stitched Journalers No. 03, Flossy Stitches: Brown.
I guess I must be ready for spring. I was looking at fall and winter photos to use when I saw a note that someone close to us has daffodils popping up. That is a definite sign of spring so selected photos from last spring. I turned the page and used a couple extra spring flower photos to accent the larger photo. I used: Fall Garden Printable Papers No. 03, Love Letters Scrapbooking Bundle, Vintage Photo Frames No. 45.
I hope you are already thinking of just the photo you want to scrap. I’m excited to see where today’s scraplift leads you! Be sure to post your page in the Saturday Scraplift Gallery. If you use 100% DD products, your page qualifies for the rewards program, so don’t forget to post it in the February 2019 Challenge Participation Thread. I hope you have a delightful Saturday and I’ll be looking for your page in the gallery.
