Good morning! It’s a beautiful autumn day here in the Midwest and I’ve had to turn on my heat! Looking forward to cooler days and some changing leaves. As I was perusing the gallery last week for this week’s Saturday Scraplift, this page just jumped out at me and I immediately decided to lift it not knowing that I had chosen a template page! Typically, we do not use template pages for SSL, but by the time I figured it out….we decided to just go with it! So, the question is…will you template or not template your take on today’s lift?
Here is the page that caught my eye:
Saturday Scraplifter extraordinaire Debi took on the challenge as as always, put a fabulous graphic spin on it. Although the basic design is very similar to the original, her scratchy lines and colorful brads along with acrylic numbers really make this a modern take. Love it!
Blue Skies Solids Paper Pack, Scribbled Overlays No. 02, Fine Line Twists Brushes and Stamps No. 04, Really Awesome Layered Template, Pencil Line Bursts No. 01, Classic Side Lift Photo Frames No. 01, Flair Minis No. 04, Fastener Basics No. 01, Clear Thru Alphabet No. 10
My page took on a bit of a life of it’s own. It has been a difficult week here with the loss of a student at my daughter’s school. I guess I needed to find a way to address that. I actually started with a frame and starburst brush combo from a different template and the page went from there. I love how helpful a template can be as a starting off point.
Whether you decide to play with this fun template or just use MaggieMae’s page as a jumping off point, I look forward to seeing your pages in the gallery. Please post your pages in the Saturday Scraplift gallery, and be sure to include it in the October Challenge Participation Sign-In, so you get points for participating! Happy scrapping, can’t wait to see what you all come up with!
