Our Scraplift this week is about having a single photo focus for your page. Whether it’s that adorable photo of a child, the capture of a memorable event, a shot of a cherished item or a beautiful flower, that photo becomes center stage and any additions only enhance that photo. Thanks to Audrey (Adriana) for our Scraplift inspiration for today). She started with such a sweet photo and lightly embellished with tones and items that enhanced the photo.
Agnieszka (Arte Banale), from our Creative Team, created this lovely page with the focal picture of her daughter. I like how she drew the muted colors from the photo onto her background with blending and simple elements. For her project she used: Loosely Scripted Sentiments Brushes and Stamps No. 05, Readymade Layers: Travel Clusters No. 02, Readymade Layers: Painted Clusters No. 02, Vintage Postage Frames No. 02, Vintage Traveler Little Stickers No. 02, Watery Blumes No. 32.
Another of our Creative Team members, Lynn (Grandma Lynnie) used a great shot of her son taken from his climb up Diamond Head in Hawaii. I like how the photo background is the view from the top and how she carried the colors into her page background. Lynn used the following products: Arctic Whites Paper Pack No. 02, Catana Kit, Layer Works No. 288, Pocket Pages Scarlett Complete Collection, Pebbled Traveler No. 02, Watery Typecast Sentiments Brushes and Stamps No. 06.
I focused on two of my grandsons with my photo of hiking the mountains around us. The newly released Hike More Kit worked perfectly to give me a few pieces to enhance the photo. I used: Hike More Outdoors Scrapbooking Bundle, Layer Works No. 1047, Watery Typecast Sentiments Brushes and Stamps No. 06.
I know that a single focus photo (and a little extra white space) can be a challenge for some of us – me included. However, I hope these examples provide inspiration to scrap a favorite photo. Be sure to post your page in the Saturday Scraplift Gallery. If you use 100% DD products, your page qualifies for the rewards program, so don’t forget to post it in the April 2019 Challenge Participation Thread. I hope you have a delightful Saturday and I’ll be looking for your page in the gallery.
