Sometimes, it’s the most simple scrapbook layouts that are the most profound and even the most beautiful. Our friend Heidi (anxela) is well known for her beautiful, simple layout style. Her recent page “What Love Looks Like” caught my eye right away.
The stunning photo and heartfelt journaling are perfectly accented by the simple frame and ‘just right’ background paper. Several of our CT found this simple layout a real treat to lift.
Kelly used one perfect photo and her journaling to tell an important family story that shares a piece of her heart and her history with her boys. Her product list includes: Redwork Solids Paper Pack, Painted Book Paper Pack No. 2, Paint it Gold No. 1, Attic Treasures Scrapbooking Kit (frame), Make your own Postmarks Pack No. 2.
This particular challenge was literally made for Debi, a classically simple scrapper. She used the ideal minimalist embellishments to give this layout depth and visual appeal. Her supplies are: Wood Tab Alpha No. 1, Textured Cardstock: Ridge Paper Pack, Thin Classic Photo Frames Curled and Flat No. 1, Black, White, and Tan Kit (tape).
Patricia’s show stopping street photograph speaks for itself, and this simple design really enhances it. She used these DD products to create her page: Real Words Brushes and Stamps No. 1, Baby Blush Solids Paper Pack, Watery Banners, Arlesey Element Pack, Art Class Frames.
I found myself captivated by the message Heidi wrote to her daughter in this page–both in the photo and in the words–and I thought immediately of this portrait of my own rapidly growing up girl, recently taken to wearing perfume.
I had fun with some of the beautiful newer golden items in the store: Artsy Golden Vintage, Paint it Gold, Striping Graphics Gold, and Gilded Photo Frames No. 1.
I hope you’ll play along by creating your own scraplift of Heidi’s page. Use all DD products, and upload your page to the Saturday Scraplift Gallery.
