I could just as easily have titled this blogpost “Inspiration from the Top” because this week we’re lifting the boss, our very own Katie Pertiet. I loved Katie’s great off-center design, the band of patterned paper on the side, the cluster of brushwork and elements under the photo, and her terrific use of white space. There’s so much to love about this page, and the Creative Team had a blast lifting Katie.
Heather (schnerbear) scrapped a wonderful photo of her husband and three of their children on Father’s Day. I love the stacked papers beneath the photo, the faint brushwork, and the stitching that connects the textured papers. And in a stroke of genius, she used little pops of color that match the clothes her children are wearing.

Debi (beehive50) gave her page great energy by angling the side strip of paper and by using the chevron brush under her photo. And what a super photo it is of her and her dad — I can see where Debi gets her good looks! The reds and blues that Debi pulled from the photo really pop on that neutral background.
Having just returned from a trip to Scandinavia and Russia, I’ve been consumed with how to scrap those 1900+ pictures that I took. When I saw Katie’s design, I immediately thought it would make a perfect title page for my album. Because I wanted to use the map paper, I rotated the design and used a cluster of photos representing the places we visited. Thank you, Katie!

Katie’s page is brimming with inspirational ideas, and I can’t wait to see where those ideas take you. Please post your completed pages in the Saturday Scraplift Challenge Gallery as well as the June Challenge Participation Sign-in thread in the forum. Happy scrapping!
