Have you met Carl? With the help of his owner, Carol (oldbag165), we have been educated and entertained with fun stories about Carl through his scrapbook journal. This wonderful page is part of a two page spread and just begs to be lifted. Did something jump out at you right away that said, “lift me”? Was it Carol’s fun extraction? Was it the masked photo or the great way she made her journaling hug the photo? Maybe it was the way she gave Carl his voice. Whatever grabs your attention, start there. It might be the beginning of your new favorite page or it may be all it takes for your lift to be complete.
Here’s a look at how a few of our CT were inspired:
Joanne’s page is a wonderful lift of Carol’s extraction, and when put side by side with the page about Carl would make the grumpiest of grumps smile. (Doesn’t Carl and Asher look like they are in the same place having a ball together?!)
Doris was inspired by Carol’s extraction of Carl through the frame and created a fabulous page by placing her extraction outside of a mask. Such a cool effect!

Sam’s photo is such a fun one for extracting and she journaled in such a great way. (Sam is a master at writing “letters” to her grandkids on her scrapbooking pages.)

For my lift, I couldn’t resist using a photo of Hermes and journaling from his perspective was way too much fun.

I hope you have as much fun as we did lifting Carol’s page.
