Saturday Scraplift – Hot Off the Grid

It’s Saturday and time for our weekly Saturday Scraplift. Even when I’m not hosting the SSL I look forward to the weekly inspiration and using it to create a new page. Our inspiration piece this week comes from Amy L and her page All Your New Stuff.  I was immediately drawn to the grid effect she created by the placement of the photo of her handsome son and the embellishments used.

Two of our talented Creative Team members were also inspired by her piece. Mollie (readstomuch) featured her grandson on this fun page of him on a fishing expedition. I like how she pivoted off the hanging tags in the inspiration piece for the hanging fish.  For her page Mollie used Clean Stitched: Brown No. 01Fine Line Stacks Brushes and Stamps No. 02,  Clipped Stacks No5, Game Cards: Summer, Go Fish Kit, One Wish Kit and Painted Photo Masks Brushes and Stamps No. 10.

Or second team member, Sharon (Shannamay) created this adorable page, So Much Love, featuring her sweet granddaughter. I like the elements and paper pieces she added to create the grid effect. Sharon used One Wish Kit, Messy Spotty Edgers Brushes and Stamps No. 02, and Looking Good Brushes and Stamps.

10th_August_So_Much_Love_web It appears to be the week to feature our grandchildren. I created my page featuring my granddaughter enjoying a little summer sun. I used Booked Blue Paper Pack, Ripped Vintage Photo Frames No 5, Dalese Scrapbook Kit, Jack Frost Element Pack, Little Birdie Epoxies No 1, Be Buttoned: Energy, Cully Scrapbook Kit, Color My Love Kit, and Happy Words Brushes and Colored Rub Ons.

Gracie-June-2012Thanks to Amy for this her wonderful inspiration page and to our CT gals for providing their inspired pages. I hope you’ll join the Saturday Scraplift this week and post your pages in the Saturday Scraplift Gallery. If your page qualifies for the Rewards Program be sure to record it in the August Participation Thread.
