For all of you who are just a little addicted to the Saturday Scraplift routine, we’ve decided to post a day early. Just in case you want to get in a last little bit of scrapping today before all the weekend Christmas festivities REALLY get going tomorrow!
I’ve chosen for your lifting pleasure today, this beautiful layout by one of our guest CT members, Kate (Okate). I loved the paper clipped to the mask and pasted onto the background paper. I loved the double framing with the slide reel tucked in between and I loved the simple titling and journaling.
When I asked if any of the CT would like to help me to lift this page, there was no shortage of volunteers.
Shannon (shannonroller) stayed with the centrally placed photo and cleverly used Studio DD’s Readymade Edgers: Christmas No.03 which includes a similar slide reel.
She also used Katie’s Christmas Joy Scrapbooking Collection, Typewriter Clusters December Brushes and Stamps No. 01, Posted Christmas No.01, Best Part of Christmas Brushes and Stamps and Torn Templates No.01
Delisa was also inspired by the slide reel, layering papers and pocket cards instead of extra frames and added all those lovely trees to underline her page theme. She used StudioDD’s December Days Layer Works No.01 template as a starting point and she also used Katie’s Christmas Joy Scrapbooking Collection as well as Clean Stitched Borders: White No.01 (recoloured), Min Jul Element Pack, Stitched and Lifted Trees No.01, Taped Together Stacks December No.01 and Title Lines Brushes and Stamps No.14.
Look how Jana was inspired; paper clipped to mask, music print, doubled up frame layers, slide reel!! Jana has used two products that are coming soon to the store: Happy Christmas Sparkles (and doesn’t this beautiful paper make for an eye catching LO!) and Happy Christmas Layered Frames. She’s also used ARTpack Christmas Brushes and Stamps No.03, Vintage Christmas Blendable Layers No.02, Glad Tidings Roughed Up Photo Mats, Glad Tidings Paper Pack, Winter Ice Element Pack and Peace On earth Brushes and Stamps
My own scraplifts never stray too far from the inspiration piece. I did use a mix of brushes instead of the clipped paper but I loved the double frame idea and that slide reel seemed to give the perfect place for the date!
I used Season’s Finest Scrapbooking Collection, Christmas Joy Scrapbooking Collection, Slide Reels No.02, Worth Repeating Painted Clusters Brushes and Stamps No.01, Daisetta Element Pack, Pocket Planner 3×4 Stamped and Printable Cards No.01, South Beach Element Pack, Corby Element Pack and Banner Safety Tags No.01.
I hope you will be equally inspired by Kate’s lovely page. Remember to post your page in the Saturday Scraplift Challenge Gallery December Challenges sign-in thread in the forum. My very best wishes to you all for a very Happy Christmas!
