Saturday Scraplift: Festive Monochrome Circles

Liz (lizziet5) is an absolute master of monochromatic creativity. When I saw the page she designed as the cover of her Days of December album, it blew me away. I loved everything about it: the circles, the white space, the monochromatic palette. Her beautiful design provided lots of inspiration for Carmel and me.

Carmel (caapmun) designed an album cover, too – one to preserve the memories she’ll be making in 2018. How is it that 2018 is just around the corner?? I love her black and white page with pops of red – such a winning color scheme. The circles of patterned paper enclosed by black stitching really pop.

Although my page was completely inspired by Liz’s page, I guess I’m incapable of going monochromatic and leaving white space. The pictures I used from a post-Thanksgiving visit to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville a couple of years ago prompted me to add some color and a masked image. But, hey, I went with circles!

I’m eager to see how you take inspiration from Liz’s page because there are lots of directions in which you could go. Remember to post your page in the Saturday Scraplift Challenge Gallery as well as in the December Challenge Participation Sign-in thread in the forum. Merry Christmas and happy scrapping to my friends around the world!
