I’m always on the lookout for a great design that guides the viewer’s eye and draws attention to photos and journaling. That’s what it’s all about, right? Terri (jdcooper) designed a page that meets all those requirements, and I couldn’t resist lifting it along with my fellow Creative Team members. Here’s Terri’s page and the layouts it inspired.
Joanne (jcaruth910) scrapped a darling photo of her great nephew on his first ski trip, proudly sporting his ski pass. Joanne snuggled the sweet photo next to the blue band to ground it, and I love her creative framing and masking, as well as the brushwork that completes her page. Could that epoxy rabbit be any cuter on his skis?

Connie (scullen2) highlighted a special picture of her daughter modeling her baby bump. Congratulations, Connie – being a grandparent is the best! Instead of a paper band, Connie created a striking background for her photo with brushes, masks, and elements. I really like the way her journaling flows uninterrupted into her title.

I loved Terri’s design so much that I created almost an exact replica of it. Plaid paper catches my eye every time, so I jumped at the chance to use some on this page. And Katie’s confetti template was the perfect finishing touch to my purple-toned layout.

Terri’s design works beautifully for a single photo to which you want to call attention, but it’s versatile enough to accommodate multiple-photo layouts as well. I look forward to seeing how it inspires you. Post your lift in the Saturday Scraplift Challenge Gallery and in the April Challenge Participation Sign-in thread in the forum.
