Saturday Scraplift: CT Spotlight Scraplift

Today is the fifth Saturday in November, so that means it’s time for another CT Spolight Scraplift. This week we’re lifting the talented Pam (blkcow). Pam lives on a ranch in Montana, which is pretty far removed from my home in central Florida about an hour west of the Atlantic Ocean and two hours east of the Gulf of Mexico. That difference makes me love the pages she posts of her life as a rancher’s wife and makes me want to visit Montana. We do have being grandmas in common, and I also love seeing her pages of that cutie patootie Clara. I had the pleasure of meeting Pam in person when some of the team members met in Clearwater earlier this month; in fact, we were roommates along with four other team members, and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her better. Mollie (readstoomuch), another of our roommates, and I had a delightful time browsing Pam’s gallery to choose a layout to lift.

Mollie chose one of Pam’s stunning landscape pages to lift. Is that gorgeous scenery or what?? I love how both pages put the focus on a single, beautifully masked photo. Pam showcased the wintery splendor of the Beartooth Mountains perfectly, just as Mollie did the photo of her and Aunt Velma at a cousins’ early Thanksgiving dinner. I love the sweet expressions on their faces.

I was drawn to one of Pam’s Clara pages for the strong design and great color scheme. I also loved the family photo she used and knew I wanted to scrap a special shot of my son reading to my two grandchildren, a nightly occurrence at their house. Layering definitely doesn’t come naturally to me, but I had fun studying Pam’s layout for ideas.

There’s a wealth of inspiration in Pam’s gallery, and I know you’ll enjoy looking through it to find the perfect page to lift. Post your page in the Saturday Scraplift Challenge Gallery and in the November Challenge Participation Sign-in thread in the forum. Looking forward to lots of Pam lifts in the gallery!
