I love color – there, I said it! It interests me that some scrappers confess to having a hard time using color in their layouts. I’d have to say I have more trouble using neutrals. And I really love a page on which the colors pop as they do on Erin’s (Ernie88) page that I chose for this week’s Saturday Scraplift. The black woodgrain paper is the perfect backdrop for the icy blues and white she chose to accompany her black and white photo. Here’s how the Creative Team members interpreted Erin’s page.
Sharon (Shannamay) used one of my favorite color combinations – pink and green — to scrap this adorable photo of her granddaughter and to tell the story of the “apples” she found. The coin holder frame was just the right spot for the icons she mentions in her journaling. The doilies and delicate brushwork complete this sweet page.

Steph (Steph) did a terrific job using color to scrap a cute shot of her cat amidst the wrapping paper. I love how the creamy background paper exactly matches Becky’s soft fur. The pops of red are seasonal and guide the eye through Steph’s page.
My grandchildren have been visiting the same Santa for years, and I loved the photo the mall photographer captured of the three of them. I lifted Erin’s idea of converting it to black and white so that I could play with Lynn Grieveson’s pretty new Nikolaus kit.
