Good morning on this first day of August and welcome to this weeks Saturday Scraplift Challenge. I chose this fabulous page by Heather (schnerbear) for us to lift this week. I love Heather’s style of scrapping and this page with the chunky layering and single portrait photo just had me itching to lift it! She even used my all time favourite product… Katie’s Twisted Dots No. 1!
I am super thrilled to bring you the lift that Pam (blkcow), being inspired by Heather’s page, created to share the delightful news that there’s to be a new baby in the family! Pam chose a gorgeous colour scheme of navy blue, lime green and cream for the chunky layers to showcase the delightful photo showing the proud parents-to-be! Such an exciting time Pam, and I can’t wait to see this little one when he arrives!
Pam used these supplies: Twisted Dots No. 01, Good Day Add-On Paper Pack, Juiced Mini Kit, Hello December Solids Paper Pack, William Add-on Paper Pack, Christmas Vintage Photo Frames No. 01, Enamel Alphabet No. 01: Lime Green – Katie Pertiet; Agata Solids Paper Pack – Maplebrook Studios; Super Simple No. 01 Brushes and Stamps – Cathy Zielske
Wendy (wendymck) was inspired by Heather’s page to document this photo from her mission trip of the double crew enjoying a group hug! I like how Wendy’s choice of colour has been influenced by the photo and the elements she has used compliment the story perfectly. I love how little Ashlynn is getting in on the hug too!
Here is Wendy’s supply list: Messy Spotty Edgers No. 2, ARToptions, Neutrals Paper Pack No. 01, Beached Solids Paper Pack,Just Linens: Avesta Paper Pack, Layered Bookshelf Overlays No. 02, Home Handyman Element Set, Monochromatics Kraft Paper Pack, Naturally Krafty No. 08 Paper Pack, Coral Gate Element Pack (frame recoloured), Vintage Photo Frames No. 36, Wooden Alphabet No. 03, Watery Words Colored Transfers and BONUS Brushes No. 02, Krafty Love Element Pack – all Katie Pertiet.
I grabbed the opportunity to scrap this rare photo of Jodie and Stuart for the lift. I say rare because it’s not often I can get a shot of them together without them tending to one or both of their young boys! I love layers (who knew?!) and Heather’s chunky layers are ideal for showing off some really cool patterned paper. I also chose to use Katie’s Handwritten Wood Veneer Words: Daily which are coming to the store soon and her new Bright Days range which is new in the store this weekend. If you haven’t seen these goodies yet, take a look, you won’t be disappointed!
I used these products: Handdrawn Wood Veneer Words: Daily (coming soon), Bright Days Solids Paper Pack (background paper desaturated), Bright Days Paper Pack, Bright Days: Cut Ups, Bright Days: Daily Strips, Messy Spotty Edges Brushes and Stamps No. 02, DoodleDo Frames No. 12 Brushes and Stamps, Linen Buttons Daily, Classic Side Lift Photo Frames No. 01, Twisted Dots No. 01, Coral Gate Element Pack – Katie Pertiet; Outliner Cards No. 01 Brushes and Stamps – Cathy Zielske; Stitched Down Dates (altered) – Lynn Grieveson
