Saturday Scraplift challenge: From the Side

Did you see this delicious page by Valerie P in the gallery?

satscrap-ArethaAtFranksI love her comments about how it has become so much more acceptable to take photos of your food now so many people are posting them on Facebook!

I also love her color combo, the fun way she added the logo and the lovely use of brushwork.

The design, coming in from the side, and with the bradded frame making sure the focus is on the main photo, is inspirational too.

Sharon played up the fun aspect with her adorable lift about Little People! (Did you know they are called that because it’s what everyone would ask for in the toy shops when they first came out as various playsets, so in the end Fisher Price just went with that name?!)

Liz showed how creative you can be when getting inspiration from a page. The design works just as perfectly when “flipped”! I love her use of WordArt as a title as well.

And Merrilee created a page full of whimsy with some creative use of postage stamps, inspired by the postage stamp frame on Valerie’s page.

And I converted Valerie’s great design into a 2 photo layout simply by using the mask for a second photo. It was a delight to lift:
