Saturday Scraplift Challenge: She’s got Style

Well, it’s November and (with a grin) I couldn’t help but choose this “Sock it to Me Autumn”  page by Debbie (dfwest) as the Saturday Scraplift to start off the month.

Those socks just scream “fall.” Debbie has a beautifully unique style of scrapping and her pages seem to appeal to different people for different reasons.  To start off the gallery this week a few of the CT have volunteered to help me lift Debbie’s page.

Doris’s lift focuses on Debbie’s use of brushwork and “painting.” The layers are just exquisite! (And isn’t that the cutest little guy?!)

Doris used these DD products to create her page: All White Now Paper Pack No.02, Hint at it: Love, Hint at it No.10 Brushes, Vintage Photo Frames No. 33, Owl Vintage Blendables, Gesso No.01 Brushes and Stamps, Stamped Blocks No.32 Brushes and Stamps, Arlesey Artsy Paint, Spot Dots Brushes and Stamps No.08, Splatters Brushes and Stamps, Watery Spots Brushes and Stamps No. 06, Classic Navigator Brushes and Stamps, Snap Frames No. 03 Brushes and Stamps, Scribbling Brushes and Stamps No.03, Blendable Maps No.02, Charted Brushes and Stamps No.01, Tidewater Scrapbooking Kit, Stitching Holes Borders No.02 Brushes and Stamps, Astro Bead Scatterings, Messy Love Lines Brushes and Stamps

Bailey’s lift is anchored on the linear design that is seen in Debbie’s page.  Bailey used great elements and stitching to frame her fun halloween photo.

For her page Bailey used: Gesso No.02, Taped Together Photo Frames No.05, Halloween Magic Collection, Bookshelf Flairs No.01, Folia Scrapbooking Collection, and Hadleigh Elements.

Carolynn had fun lifting Debbie’s page.  Debbie’s, “Sock it to Me Autumn” page was actually a lift of one of Carolynn’s pages giving the look a “touch of dfwest.”  This time it was Carolynn’s turn to return the compliment.  In my opinion the two styles merge beautifully.

Carolynn’s page uses DD product from these kits: Worth Repeating Brushes and Stamps No.18, Haunted Twists No. 01, Haunted Woodlands Element Pack, Stitched Circles Clean and Messy: White No.1 Value Pack, Assorted Messy Stitches: Black No.01, Dried Brush Edges Brushes and Stamps, Inked Banners Brushes and Stamps No.01, Lens Flares: Colors No.01, Stamped Blocks No.3 Brushes and Stamps, Vintage Flashcards: Fall, Wire Rimmed Charms No.02, Banner Strips No.01, Banner Strips No.02, Stamped Stitches No.01 Brushes and Stamps, Halloween Magic Scrapbooking Kit, Taped Together Stacks No. 02, Pocket Cards: Vintage Halloween No.01, Banner Twine Templates No.01, Loosely Labeled, Be Labeled: Harvest, Full Fun Mini Kit, From My Bookshelf Paper Pieces: Fall No.01, Collageables No.05, Paper Cuts No. 02, Instamatic Frames No.04, Fall Tickets, Arlesey Element Pack, Pumpkin Face Stickers, Wood Veneer Words No.03, Negative Sleeves No.03, Basic Tags No.02, Bead Scatterings No.01, Stitching Holes Brushes and Stamps.

For my lift I focused on the elements that are so “dfwest” to me:  the layers sitting on the linear base and the blended brushwork with elements that tell a story.
