Good morning all!
I guess I must be a bit of a sucker for Frame within Frame layout designs because I’m pretty sure I did a SSL not long back that had a “doubled up” frame look. Stacia has started out with one of Katie’s great templates, but I love the way she’s made it her own on this lovely page. Between them, Stacia and Katie have provided lots of liftable ideas on this layout. Look at the way the background paper is ever so subtly different inside the large frame. I love the way Stacia has added in the little branch and pebble. They work together with the brushwork on the template to create the sweetest cluster on the edge of the photo. Do you notice the way the butterflies Stacia has added to the corners draw your eye diagonally through the Layout? And how the brushwork extends the comparitively small photo across the page?
Our guest CT member Diane volunteered to lift this layout and I love the way she has also used elements from a template to complete her layout. She has used a painted page edger overlay resized to make the outside frame; a beautiful idea! Such a pretty Layout!
CT member Sharon(justbnsharon) has combined one of Katie’s new Bottom Lift Vintage Frames with one of her amazing Spill Frames to create one of the most beautiful pieces I’ve seen in a long time; a gorgeous lift!
She used Big Bottom Lift Vintage Frames No. 02, Dreamy Paper Pack No. 01, Mixed Bits Clusters and Layers No. 02, Readymade Layers: Vintage Borders No.02, Spill Frame Layers No. 19, Spill Frame Layers No. 21, Vintage Blendable Layers No. 08, Vintage Taped Sentiments No. 01, Watery Sentiments Brushes and Stamps No. 01 and Woodlands Blendables No. 03.
My layout is no where near as peaceful as any of the previous ones!! I shrunk my large frame down somewhat, but I loved using Stacia’s page as inspiration for my page about a Jarvy tantrum!
I used Vintage Photo Frames No. 16, Postage Stamp Frames No. 05, Cloudy Skies Brushes and Stamps, Readymade Layers: Travel Borders No. 01, Roughed Up Pocket Cards: Striped No. 10 and the Just Like Spring Element Pack
I hope you are inspired to find a special little photo to use to participate in our scraplift challenge this week!
