Happy Saturday! Love doing this challenge and I am excited about this week’s page and where it will take you. Last week’s corner to corner page caused so many amazing inspiration pages in the gallery. I hope this week’s page gives you some great ideas too. 🙂
sterkeurs (Sarah) made this page from a bit blurry favorite photo of her daughter. With a lot of blending, black and whiting the photo and a wee bit of grunge, her daughter was captured beautifully.
I wasn’t the only one who though this page was lift worthy as many team member jumped in to give you some more inspiration. Up first is maggiemae (Julie) with this lovely page capturing the everyday normal of teenagers…talking on the phone (although this is a bit more rare nowadays as they usually just text.) Love the hints of pink and the loop stitch coming off the phone in the photo. Poor Lynn (grandma lynnie). She went for a nice walk on the beach and managed to break her foot. 🙁 But being the scrapper that she is, she captured the memory and the grunge brushes were the perfect add to her sandy page story.
Divamom96 (Deborrah) used a favorite photo of her niece on her page. She used text brushes and grid brushes like Sarah and even used some fine line twists. The butterflies in her hair are an adorable touch too. This whole page just says “Aww!”Maybe Not Solids Paper Pack, Dreamy Paper Pack No. 06, Blendable Layers No. 83

lizziet5 (Liz) always says blending is challenging for her, but I never see that. I think this page is brilliant. Although not a black and white photo, there was the same light and dark contrast as Sarah’s photo. She loves any chance to use twisted lines or dots and kept a similar photo placement albeit on the opposite side of the page.

And finally, here’s my page. I love grunge, and actually planned to go that direction, but then I ended up with a softer page and I’m ok with that. Photo was from my daughter’s senior photo shoot last year (dream2bphotography) and one of my husband’s favorites. Looking back over her first year in college…she needed a whole lot of courage so the quote fit. I did keep the text brushes, the watery photo block and even the butterflies from Sarah’s page.
