I love the creative take on a blocked design in this lovely page by Carol Ann:
(I also love the subject of this page, which is a wonderful example of scrapping the little everyday things, but that’s a whole other story!).
She has two photos, but has made a strong rectangular block by combining them with a tag, then cleverly layered that block over a shaped text area. It makes for a wonderfully cohesive design. Love that fun title too!
It was the perfect inspiration I needed to scrap these older scanned pics of mine:
Carolyn made a page filled with love:
She used Katie’s “Maybe Tomorrow” and “Vintage Press Blush” Solids, “Vintage Press Blush” Element Pack, Wood Veneer Hearts, “Looking for Love” Kit, Striping Graphics No 1 & 2, Vintage Photo frames No.31, Lots of Love Freebie (02 2013), Botanist Workbook paperpack No.01, Docustacks No.03, Bohemian Photo mats No.01, Blendable Journalers No.01, Stamped Stitched Photo masks No.01, “Color my Love” element pack, “Sweet Rose Bay” element pack, Basic Tags No.02, “Frosted Winter” paint and Wooden Words: Love.
Kathleen came up with this delightfully colored and layered page:
She used my “Fred the Fox” kit alphabet and “Worn Strips: Chevrons”, as well as Katie Pertiet’s “Vintage Charm” kit and clusters, “Crowning Affair” understated solids paperpack, Filed Stacks No.01, “Christmas Village” element pack, Collageable Notions No.02, Messy Stitched Banners: White No.01, Patterned Shapes: Chevrons, Stamped Stitched: Summer, Assorted Patterned Tapes: Fall No.01, Worth Repeating No.08, Sprayed Filmstrips and Flare Sprays.
She also used Pattie Knox’s “Apple a Day” mini-kit and “Felt Board Friends: A bit Fruity”,Ali Edwards’ “So Totally Happy” brushes and Stamps and “Essential Words” hand-drawn value pack and “Readymade Blocks: The Story” by StudioDD.
