Saturday Scraplift: A Clean Repeat

Good morning! This week in the Saturday Scraplift we are going to be inspired by Kathie’s amazing tulip page.

I was drawn to this page as soon as she posted it. I love the photo treatment, the layering, the clean lines (her specialty) and the soft floral brush that breaks up the square perfectly. Lots of directions you could take this and all the designers that decided to participate this week went different ways!

Jana was drawn to the repeated framed photos that Kathie used. Wow, these photos are amazing and they really pop on the softly colored background. Gorgeous!

Adrianita used repeating photos of a beautiful cup of coffee. Almost too pretty to drink (I did say almost! 🙂 ) Love the wood border to match the table and her blending softened the page beautifully. All the design elements really pull this page together.

Jane used this amazing floral photo with layered spillover frames and it just looks like the flower is right there to be touched. So pretty! Again, a soft background palette was used to allow the photos to shine and the addition of the little butterflies is a sweet touch.

And my page did not go exactly how I had planned. I knew I wanted to use photos from my daughter’s Africa trip but the close crop of the photos did not allow for layering. So I channeled a bit of my inner Kathie and just went with a clean grid. I still framed my page and used the loosely drawn floral brushes.

Now it’s your turn! Let’s see how Kathie’s page inspires you. Remember to post your page in theSaturday Scraplift Challenge Gallery as well as in the April Challenge Participation sign-in thread in the forum. Have a great weekend!
