It is time to “play with paper” and I am hoping you are ready to play along! Patterned paper can create so much visual interest on your page. It can be used for a background or clipped to a mask for texture or even layered as mats for that special picture. There are just so many possibilities! This challenge will involve using three different patterned papers on your page….and I can’t wait to see where your creativity takes you!
The details of the challenge are to use these three styles of patterned paper:
(1) A floral piece of paper
(2) A piece of paper with polka dots
(3) Your choice of any patterned paper
(4) Upload your page containing 100% Designer Digitals products to the weekly challenge gallery by 11pm EDT on 5/20/13 for a chance to win a $5 Designer Digitals store coupon. Please have in your title “Playing with Paper” so that your page will not get missed!
Katie has a freebie to get you inspired and it contains 3 patterned papers to help you complete this challenge. But if you need other colors of patterned papers for this challenge…no problem! Just go to your Designer Digitals stash and pick out (1) a floral paper, (2) a polka dot paper and (3) a patterned paper of your choice!
Take a look at how three creative team members created pages for the challenge.
I love how Steph used all three of the freebie papers and even added two more patterned papers to create this sweet page filled with personality! The layering of all the patterned papers draws you right into that special picture, without getting too busy!

I, digishoes, also used the freebie papers on my page. I decided to use the floral paper clipped to a watery mask to create a ‘splash’ effect on my page. I also added a second polka dotted paper to my title.
I hope these pages, along with Katie’s freebie pack, inspire you to also play with patterned paper this week. I will be looking in the weekly challenges gallery for your page and you will be entered in the random drawing for a $5 Designer Digitals store coupon.
