Party for Three – Template Challenge 12.5.2012

I was immediately drawn to Layered Memories No. 093  because I love the number three. The number three frequently shows up on my scrapbook pages.  I like to use three photos, three different focal colors, and I like to use elements in threes.  I think three of anything provides repetition, balance and brings interest to a page.  This template is a great example of how three photos on a page and three heart elements leads to such a strong scrapbook page.
I’m really looking forward to seeing where this template takes you.  I’ll be hanging out in the gallery waiting to see your page!

I love the simplicity of this template and also the area of white space which creates a great opportunity to expand if one desires.  I was so excited to see where everyone went with this template and my dear friends on the creative team hit it right out of the park.
Sarah (shhbabymine) used one photo spread across the panels which also created a perfect position for her titlework.  You an also see that her three hearts are all sporting the the same paper and her leaf accents across the bottom of the panel are simply the icing on the cake.

Mel’s (Melissa Hill) interpretation of this template was fabulous as well.  She used the perfect elements to accent these darling photos of her beautiful daughters in their Halloween costumes.  I love the repetition of her three primary colors (black, brown and purple) and her attention to detail is always so inspiring!

When I see white space, I immediately think “blended photo”.  It is a sickness that I have but I haven’t found a support group yet.  I used my three panels of photos to tell a visual story of my daughter’s ride down the big hill.  I kept the main photo panel very clean and then created a cluster around my title area.  You can also see that I used three primary colors (pink, black, and white).
