Good morning . . . it is Mollie aka readstoomuch introducing a new challenge for today. For this week’s Page Makeover challenge, we are taking an older summertime layout that you would love to update and giving it a bit of a facelift. Using at least two products from the store . . .and, if it works, use one older product and one newer product. (I am checking out the wonderful products put into the store during the month of July and found a couple of item, which I could use.) I had lots of help from the Creative Team with makeovers of their pages.
Brenda aka bbe went back to 2012 to find “Celebrating Green” which needed only minor changes. I love that Brenda used the yellow elements to breath new life into this layout! The bright vribrance of Brenda’s update really looks wonderful. Brenda’s older layout is on the left.
Supplies used: Collageable Layered Templates No. 04, Clean Clusters and Parts No. 02 Brushes and Stamps, Vintage Charm Clusters, Botanical Artistry Clusters No. 02, From My Bookshelf No. 02 Element Pack . . .Makeover additions: Autumnal Artistry Element Pack, Vintage Edge Overlays No. 02, Blendable Layers No. 36 (recolored, used as shading and blending 2015)
Liz aka lizziet5 said: “I’d changed my mind about all the colour on my original page (I’m brights-challenged!) so I was delighted to be challenged into giving it a makeover! I’m so much happier with it now!” I must say that I love both versions, Liz! The older layout is on the left side and the makeover is on the right side.
Supplies used: Looping Lines Brushes and Stamps No. 01, Doodledo Circles Brushes and Stamps No. 02, Flagged Words Brushes and Stamps No. 05, Assorted Patterned Tapes: Fall No. 01, Catching Rainbows Element Pack, Vintage Photo Frames No. 33, Bold Scripts Enjoy the Ride Brushes and Stamps, Brilliant Life Element Pack, December Woods Element Pack, Abisko Element Pack, Scrollie Arrows Brushes and Stamps No. 01, Cut Ups: Everyday No. 02, Wooden Arrows No. 01, Symbology Enamel Brads No. 01, All White Now Paper Pack No. 05 and Parisian Date Stamps
My own layout really goes way back . . . to June of 2007! Mine was a makeover, which I really needed to do. This one was 8” x 10” and my books now are square. Also some of the layers were merged and I couldn’t find the original photo to use in the makeover! My older layout is on the left.
I hope that you will join in the fun and be inspired to pick an older summer page to redo with two or three new replacement products from your Designer Digitals stash!.
