Page Makeover Challenge: A New Season

In my mind, Springtime is a time for a new look in my world . . . a time to replace the dark days with the pale greens of the newly budding trees, flowers and emerging grasses. As we in the Northern Hemisphere move into warmer weather or friends in the Southern Hemisphere are moving into cooler weather.

Today for the Page Makeover on the DD Blog we are going to take a favorite layout, which may or may or not need a makeover and replace the old photo with a new one that shows the change of the seasons where you live. This will be easy-peasy . . . I think that it will be fun for us to play with.

Sharon aka Shannamay said, “I’ve had this little photo for a week or so waiting for an idea – I loved ‘lifting’ one of my own pages. It made me wonder why I don’t do it more often!!”  Sharon’s older layout on the left, “Worrying About You” is from September of 2010 and is still as fresh as it was when she created it . . . the floral elements give it a summer/spring look . . . and, her new layout on the right,  is definitely an Autumn feeling for her Southern Hemisphere home.

Sharon used the following for her new layout:  Curated Studio Mix Scrapbooking Kit No. 21Arlesey Element PackARTpacks Brushes and Stamps: Fall No. 01,  Canvas Cardstocks paper Pack No. 21, Faringdon Element Pack.

Brenda aka bbe  created a springtime layout using a lovely photo of a robin against a blue sky . . . she just so happened to recreate a layout she made only last January of a beautiful crimson Cardinal.  The pages are basically the same with only the change of background papers and elements.

Sam aka “sam ellis” said:  “It always fun to redo a page from the past. This page makeover challenge on the blog was for most everyone going into spring. We in the Southern hemisphere are speedily heading to autumn and winter. The leaves in the garden are evidence of this and Savvy has found them!”

Sam’s beautiful new grandson from a few years back was the springboard for her new layout on the right of her new puppy.

Sam used the following products from Designer Digitals in her new layout:   Hello Autumn Word Art Brushes and Stamps and Scripting Words Thankful Brushes and Stamps.

I (Mollie aka readstoomuch) am using an old photograph of a particular spring flower, which has grown in my Grandmother’s garden for a half century.  I was planning to scrap the photo/story before I thought about using it for today’s challenge.  This flower has a little story to go with it, which makes it special to me.
