Mayflowers: A Digital Scrapbooking Color Challenge

One of my favorite springtime childhood memories is picking bouquets of mayflowers from the wooded land near our home. These soft purple flowers with delicate green leaves bloom for only a short time each year, but during those few weeks they could be found stuck by the handful in drinking glass vases around most rooms of our house. I don’t spend as much time walking around in the woods as I did when I was a child (maybe there’s a lesson there), but whenever I do happen upon the pretty mayflowers, they bring a smile to my face. This lovely image did the same.

May FlowersI thought it made a beautiful inspiration piece for a new Color Challenge, and I was thrilled to see the way it inspired our Creative Team, too.

Janet May FlowersOn Janet’s page, the soft purple title work rests on the green patterned paper background, so very reminiscent of the purple mayflowers and their foliage. The story of the day she and her daughter shared is lovely as well! When you see Janet’s page in the Color Challenge Gallery, the supplies she used will be linked up for your reference.

My challenge to you is to create your own layout, with Designer Digitals supplies of course :), using a soft purple and green color scheme on a neutral background. Share your pages with us in the Color Challenge Gallery, so that we can all be inspired! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
