Mask Appeal Scrapbooking Challenge – Photo Cuts

Hello everyone, and welcome to this month’s Mask Appeal Challenge! You all have been posting some beautiful pages from this challenge. This month, I chose a mask that’s a little bit different, so I am excited to see where it takes you.

I took a look through the store and found this Photo Cuts Mask that I thought would be fun to try out. Katie has provided a freebie pack with the mask and a paper for this challenge and you can find it here.

My fellow team mates, Liz and Melanie have created stunning, creative pages using this fun mask.

Liz flipped the mask vertically and clipped it to a photo of her granddaughter’s school supplies. The strips of the mask highlight the bright colors of the pencils and the other various supplies that are placed at an angle.

Here are the supplies Liz used: Katie Pertiet: Photo Cuts Mask No. 2, Sweet Rose Bay Solids Paper Pack, Burlap Essentials Paper Pack, Color My Love Element Pack
Scribbling Brushes and Stamps No. 01, Pencil Line Twists Brushes and Stamps No. 01,
Clipped Stacks No. 07, Bakers Twine Assortment No. 01, In Stitches: Circles No. 02.
Maplebrook Studios: Clear Thru Stars No. 01. Lynn Grieveson: Stitched Down Dates
Ali Edwards: School Words No. 01 Hand Drawn Brushes, Wedding No. 01 Hand Drawn Brushes.

Melanie also used the mask horizontally, and clipped a wonderful patterned paper to it and used it as the foundation of her page. Her black and white photos of her daughter go perfectly with her element choices and the background paper.

Here are the products Melanie used on her page: Katie Pertiet: Photo Cuts Masks No. 2, Faringdon Solids, Flossy Stitches: White (recolored), Stitched Down Dates, Looking for Love Kit, Watery Bookshelf: Dots No. 01
Meow Elements. Lynn Grieveson: worn photo edges 8.

On my page, I used the mask vertically, clipped a wood paper to it, and then used a portion of it on each side of my page to make it look like a fence on the beach.

Here are the products I used on my page: Lynn Grieveson: Bristol Kit, In Distress: Naturally. Katie Pertiet: Photo Cuts Masks No. 2, Seashore Blendable.

What a fun mask. Thanks to Katie for sharing. Love each of the sample layouts but especially how Joanne used the mask to create a weather fence — so clever.
