Mask Appeal Scrapbook Challenge – Getting “Edgy”

Hello.  This is Jana with the July Mask Appeal Challenge.  Masks are often thought of as a quick way to get “artsy”.  That is certainly true but it is also important to remember that masks come in all different styles and shapes.  Today we are going to get “edgy”…. of course, in a good way.

Download this fabulous freebie pack from Katie Pertiet which includes a great scallop mask that will help you finish off your photo, page or cluster.  The freebie pack will be available until July 25th.

My dear friends Merr and Amy were eager to jump in and help with this challenge.  I love the pages that they both created.

Merr created this wonderful page highlighting a photo of her grandson and the fish that he caught which was almost as big as he was.    I love how she used the scallop edge to create a shelf for her focal area.   Fabulous page Merr!

Amy L. created a delightful collage of photos that make me want to jump in my car and head for the coast.  I absolutely love how she created such a feeling of peace and relaxation with her design.  The mask fits in perfectly with the wonderful details found throughout her page.

I duplicated the mask and used it a few times to create a fun edge for my paper.  The masks provided a great way to add a bit more color to my page about my son.

I hope you decide to get a little “edgy” and join us for this month’s mask appeal challenge. Use the scallop edge in the freebie pack, all DD products and post your pages in the Mask Appeal Challenge Gallery by Sunday, July 21st at 6:00 pm EST for a chance to win a $5 gift card to the store.  I will post the name of the random winner in the forum.  I look forward to seeing your page!
