Hello Everyone! I know many of us are busy, busy, busy with Christmas preparations as the big day draws near. This month, I chose a really versatile mask along with a paper that can also provide a bit of texture to your page. Use these items however you would like. You can even incorporate them into one of your December Daily pages (thank you Carol for that idea) Kelly and I prepared a couple of pages to inspire your creativity. Katie has provided a wonderful freebie and you can download it here
Kelly (mugsbigsis) used the paper as her background and clipped the mask to her photo that was on top of one of the papers from the Sparkly Christmas paper pack. The background paper serves as the foundation for the other textured papers and she built them up layer by layer until you come to her wonderful photo that appears like you could just pick that ornament off the page.
Here are the items Kelly used: Katie Pertiet:Frosted Winter Solids Paper Pack, Sparkly Christmas Paper Pack, Golden Basics Paper Pack No. 01, Golden Essentials No. 04, Painted Photo Masks Brushes and Stamps No. 01, Clean Stitched Rounded Corners Red No. 01, Arlesey Scrapbooking Kit (bow).
I (jcaruth910) used the paper as an overlay to my background and changed the blending mode to multiply to add more texture to the page. My photo is also attached to the mask. Here are the items I used on my page: Katie Pertiet: Golden Essentials No. 4, Painted Lace Edgers No. 1, Painted Photo Masks No. 1, Shimmer Flakes Clusters No. 1, Frosted Winter Paint, Watery Bookshelf Flakes No. 1, Frosted Winter Solids, Golden Essentials No. 1.
Using the mask provided in the freebie pack and your other Designer Digitals products, post your page in the Mask Appeal Scrapbook Challenge Gallery as well as in the December Challenge Forum Post to increase your savings at Designer Digitals. You can check out this thread for details.
A big thank you to Kelly for sharing her inspiration with us. We look forward to seeing your pages in the Gallery!
