July Fifth Saturday CT Lift! hillareyd!

For the fifth Saturday in July we are letting you choose which page to lift from the fabulous Hillarey’s gallery (hillareyd).

I think you’ll agree that Hillarey’s gallery is full of fresh ideas that are begging to be lifted! She makes great use of shapes, and her pages are full of energy. To help start the inspiration, three of our CT members jumped at the chance to play along.

This page by Linda (earlofoxford) totally made me laugh! You’ve got to love a strong girl! I love how Linda used the pattern strips behind the photo and changed the direction of the strips to work for her page. She kept the tones in the same hue, just as Hillarey did, but by using completely different colors changed the whole dynamic of the page. Great job! Linda used these products on her page: Watercolor Ombre Turquoise Paper PackARTpack Overlays No. 01Painted Photo Masks Brushes and Stamps No. 01Stamped Doilies Brushes and Stamps No. 02Photo Cut Masks No. 06Thin Classic Photo Frames No. 04Banner Safety Tags No. 01Sign Maker Alphabet: Teal No. 01Sweet Rosey Washi TapesDrop Shadow Styles No. 02Fratta Paper Pack, Readymade Tall Strips: Rainbow No. 01 and Readymade Borders: Rainbow No. 02.

Sharon (Shannamay) kept the circle shape from the design of the original page in this sweet page about her big soft-hearted son, but again, by changing the color scheme the page takes on a decidedly masculine look. On her page Sharon used: Pie Charts Layered Templates No. 01Oceania Element PackAdd-On Paper Pack, Element Pack and Solids Paper Pack from the South Beach collection, Brushes and Stamps and Elements from the Beached collectionNeptune Element PackRoughed Up Photo Mats: Maps No. 01, and Vintage Photo Frames No. 40.

I am loving the travel pages by Jana lately! This one makes great use of the original design’s framing, and with the use of some great nautical elements and wonderful word art, turned into a terrific scenic page completely different from Hillarey’s original design. Jana’s design included Canvas Cardstocks Paper Pack No. 05Beached Solids Paper PackArtsy Layered Paints No. 03Fine Line Twists Brushes and Stamps No. 02Brushes and Stamps and Elements from the South Beach collectionClipped Stacks No. 12Washi Tapes: NauticalSpill Frame Layers No. 06, twine from Spill Frame Layers No. 08Stacking Sentiments Traveler Brushes and Stamps, and Readymade Clusters: Beach No. 01.
