Hi, and welcome to this month’s iTunes challenge. I remember when this album came out, my sister bought it, and listened to it non-stop. I always loved the look of it, like an old book. Turns out that’s deliberate, because it was based on an old medical textbook.
When I look at the album cover, I can see several directions you could go in creating a page for this challenge. You could pick up on the colour scheme; black and gold are always a striking combination. You could layer papers, or work on creating a bevelled look. You could focus on creating a bold title for your page. Or you could find another route to creativity.
To give you a start, here’s pages by the creative team , showing how they were inspired.
First up is Diane’s excellent page. I love the blended photo, and she’s layered papers in the background, emulating the bevelled edge of the album cover. She’s also created a gorgeous effect with her title.
Esther has created this gorgeous page, which really does look like a book! I love the embossed effect for the title.
I too wanted to use a series of papers layered for my background, and decided to use this fun photo of my girl. She loves trying out new looks, and is having such fun at secondary school. I love how fun she is. I used Hey There Kit; Hey Missy Scrapbooking Kit; Gesso No. 01; Notebook Paper Pack No. 05.
Now it’s over to you, we’d love to see how you’re inspired by this month’s challenge. Katie’s generously provided a freebie. Post your pages in the iTunes gallery so we can leave some love. Pages containing 100 % Designer Digitals products are also eligible for our Rewards scheme, keep track of your pages in the monthly rewards thread.
