Hi, and welcome to this month’s iTunes challenge. It’s almost the summer vacation here, everyone’s winding down to the end of term. That coincides with all the activities of this time of year – the dance shows, fetes and galas. That means we end up with plenty photos to scrap, if not all the available time to create those pages!
So this month I was looking for a bold design, one that would fit many themes. I love circles on layouts, they lead the eye round the page. So when I saw this cover, I knew it would be perfect.
When looking at this I can see pages inspired by the layered circles, whether as a large central feature, or layered elements in a cluster. I love the bold colour scheme, perfect for these ice cream days. I also love the drip effect at the bottom, bringing to mind water or perhaps home improvement pages. There are several brushes in the store replicating this effect.
Sharon and Lori from the creative team jumped at the chance to create pages for this challenge.
Lori’s page follows the design of the album cover. How juicy do these look! I love the twist behind the butterfly, leading the eye from the title to the watering can in the corner.
Lori used challenge freebies; Garden Trails Scrapbook Kit; Layer Works No. 901; Notebook Edge Frames No. 05; Spring Fields Element Pack; Antibes Paper Pack; Twisted Dots No. 01; Simple Mini Mix No. 02.
Now it’s over to you, show us how you’re inspired by the challenge. Katie’s generously provided a freebie to get you started. Post your pages in the itunes gallery so we can leave some love, and remember to get involved in our rewards scheme, which earns you store discount for sharing your pages with 100% Designer Digital products. Keep track of your pages, and check the details of the scheme, in the June participation thread.
