In Disguise: One Theme, Three Scrappers

Good morning DD community! I hope that all of you from the Caribbean and the east coast of the U.S. are safe and sound in the wake of hurricane Sandy, and that life is moving toward normal for you. DD friends around the world are thinking of and praying for you.
Today is Halloween! One of the strongest associations I have with Halloween is COSTUMES. That is the jump start for today’s Three Scrappers Challenge: In Disguise. My challenge to you is to create a page featuring a disguise. Your kids or grandkids in their Halloween costumes would be an obvious (and adorable!) idea….but you could also use pictures from a themed birthday party or parade….a fraternity or sorority event….a photo booth at a wedding….everyday ‘dress up’ play….even an animal in camouflage! You are free to use whatever DD products make your page complete. To get you started, we’ve got some featured items that will be included in the Thrifty Thursday sale tomorrow. It’s hard to beat a great deal on a lot of fun inspiration. Here are the featured products:

THREE members of our creative team had fun coming up with pages for this ONE theme! Check out their examples and think about how you could play along.

Sara_In_DisguiseSara’s page showcases a lot of disguises, with these cute ‘trunk or treaters’ all dressed up to impress. I love the way she’s used the hats and masks to embellish her horizontal strip of photos. Trace_In_DisguiseI would certainly cast my vote for the adorable Lincoln in the ‘Best Costume’ competition! It just makes me smile to see him dressed up in these photos! I love the way Trace used the mask along the left side of the photo block to give a subtle subtitle to her page. Credits for Trace’s page: Winter Woods Add On Paper Pack (coming soon), In Disguise Layered Template, Blocked Out Photo Masks No. 02, Sign Maker Alphabet: Blue No. 01, Whimsy Words No. 02, Leap Ahead Epoxies, Notebook Journalers No. 02, Ledger Grid Overlays No. 01, Wire Rimmed Charmed Alpha No. 01, Little Fly Aways Stickers, Layer Works No. 111

Debi scrapped her OWN disguise, from back in her college days. What fun! I love the vintage photos and the metallic grunge of the ‘biker’ elements she chose! I hope you are inspired and that you’ll play along by creating an ‘In Disguise’ page and posting it in our 3 scrappers gallery. Happy Halloween!
