Honoring Pattie

As you know, there’s a memorial sale going on right now in the DD store of our beloved Pattie Knox’s products. They will be retired at the end of this month, so I hope you’ll stock up on her wonderful goodies before they’re gone. The Creative Team thought it would be a fitting tribute to Pattie to create pages using all-Pattie products. Pattie was all about family – her own family, including those adorable twins, and the family of friends she made in the digital world as a result of her creative genius. In a stroke of serendipity, the pages created by the team all focus on family, and I promise we had no idea what the other team members were scrapping. Without further ado, revel in some purely Pattie pages.

Pattie’s Felt Board Friends collections are super cute and super popular. Jana (Jana Morton) used them to perfection in this creative page about her family’s summer activities. What a great way to remember the summer! The scene she created with Pattie’s little friends is just delightful, down to that cute open-mouthed frog.

Jess (jesshunt) used one of Pattie’s templates that has spaces for lots of photos, paper, and embellishments. Pattie was a pioneer in the industry when it came to designing templates; they’re such a wonderful starting point for a page. I love that Jess’s pictures of family are at the center of and surround her page.

I used one of Pattie’s templates, too, to scrap more photos of my grandson’s seventh birthday. These were taken by my daughter-in-law. One thing I love about Pattie’s templates is their clean design. In addition, there’s always a spot for a focal photo and interesting details such as the bracketed border by the smaller photos.

I hope you’ll join us in honoring Pattie by creating a page using only her designs. Post your page in the Weekly Challenges Gallery. What fun it’s going to be to see the gallery fill up with Pattie pages!
