Going Green Challenge

March’s theme is “Going Green”. With the crazy weather the past couple weeks, my mind went to how we have a major impact on the world around us, so I thought it would be interesting to document how each of us incorporates living a more green way of living into our everyday lives! I hope you join us!

My page documents how important it is to recycle and reuse. Every time garbage day comes, our recycling bins are overflowing while the rest of the neighborhood has overflowing trash cans! With this Challenge it was important to me to remind others how important it is to Love This World because there won’t be much left if we don’t!

The elements I used, like the dirty stained paper or shredded paper pieces behind the cardboard, were chosen because they looked like they’d been recycled/reused.

Supplies Used: freebies from Katie, Almost There Element Pack, Arctic Whites Paper Pack, Dash Away Alphabet Brushes and Stamps No. 02, Collageables No. 02, Collageables No. 04, Gator Crossing Element Pack, Great Escape Element Pack, Golden Pretty Element Pack, Label Strips: Variety No. 01, Splatters Brushes and Stamps No. 02, Quirky Banner Strips No. 01, Vintage Photo Frames No. 38, Watery Spots Brushes and Stamps No. 11, Watery Spots Brushes and Stamps No. 12, Winter Peony Add-on Paper Pack

Anke’s crisp, beautiful page highlights how important it is to keep our world free of garbage. Her use of the cardboard, string and bits really lend to the theme of “Reuse”!

Supplies Used: Out of a Box Element Pack, Vintage Photo Frames Large Curled and Flat, Mixed Bit Clusters and Layers No. 01, Curated Studio Mix Scrapbooking Kit No. 33, Grungy Ledger Grids Brushes and Stamps No. 02, Clean Stitched Circles: White No. 01,
Colbie Solids Paper Pack.

Merrilee’s page shows how some are going to great lengths to preserve our world!  The slogan  “Leave Only Footprints.” is really encouraging especially when people who visit these places do their best to leave it as they found it! Her photograph and perfect touches make me want to go to the Gulf Shores and enjoy the serene landscape!

Supplies used: Monochromatic Sky Paper Pack, Artsy Seaside Value Pack,
Snapshots Layered Template No. 03, Spill Frame Layers No. 02, To The Sea Scrapbook Collection
