Happy Monday everyone! Hillarey here with a brand new Fashion Inspired scrapbooking challenge for you! This month we are focusing on emerald (the color) and diamonds (the shape)! I just love this outfit, with the beautiful beaded top and cool chevron pieced skirt, and today we will be using it to inspire a scrapbook page. Sam Ellis, Debi (beehive50) and I have created some beautiful pages to get your creative juices flowing.
And, since this is the first time we’ve done this kind of page I thought I’d start off with what inspired me! I took the color from the beautiful emerald beaded top, the black chevron shapes in her skirt and the gold triangular bracelets! I had so much fun with this challenge and decided to create a page about my husband, whom I am very thankful for, and also because he has beautiful green eyes and the colors in my photo matched so well with the inspiration photo!!! The products I used: Family Hand Drawn Words, Adventures in Outlines: Shape Clusters No., Catching Rainbows Solids Paper Pack, Cut Ups: Black and White, Colorful Tabs, Digital Poetry: Dates, Fresh Vintage: Clare Element Pack, From My Bookshelf Blendables No. 07, Life Lines Solids Paper Pack, Little Snips Alphabet, Splatters Brushes and Stamps No. 03, Striping Graphic Gold No. 01, Vintage Photo Frames No. 32, Watery Brushes and Stamps No. 02, Watery Spots Brushes and Stamps No. 12, Worth Repeating Brushes and Stamps no. 10
Sam created a darling page about her daughter and Grandson. I absolutely love this photograph! Sam’s inspiration came from the fun chevron shapes, the beaded top and the beautiful emerald color. She also took inspiration from the long linear picture and rotated it; that combined with her minimal elements really highlights this wonderful photo!Products Sam used: Worth Repeating Brushes and Stamps No. 10, Merry and Bright Element Pack, Striping Graphic Brushes and Stamps No. 01, Linen Chevrons Paper Pack No.5, Striping Graphic Brushes and Stamps No. 03, These Words: Love Brushes and Stamps No. 01, Adventures in Outlines: Shape Clusters No. 01
Debi’s (Beehive50) great page is all about a text she received from her daughter who is training for soccer. Debi’s inspiration came from the emerald and gold colors and circle patten of the beaded top! I love how she filled the circle stamp with the emerald paper and soccer ball brads and that check list at the bottom is the perfect touch!
Lets see where your inspiration takes you! To make the challenge a little more fun, here are Katie’s freebies!
