Enhancing Digital Stamping Challenge

Hey hey, Carol coming to you with the Enhancing Digital Stamping Challenge, getting creative with the use of stamps. Stamps are a great way to add that little extra oomph to a page, and there’s so many ways you can use them. Mask them, sticker them, using the different blend modes on them which can take them to a whole new level, embellish them, add depth to your background with them, let’s face it, the world is your stamping oyster!

I’ve chosen the following 3 stamps/brushes to play with and the rules of the challenge are simple – use at least two of them from the following packs on your page.

To help you along, Katie has put together a great freebie pack with a stamp from each pack to get you started.  Thanks Katie!

And for some examples from the Creative Team.

Joanne has created the most amazingly precious page. I love how the stamp extends the photo out beyond the frame and Ali’s word art stamp is almost see-through on the photo. Supplies used: Worn and Ripped, February Kit, Santa Cruz Mini-Kit (Lynn Grieveson); Assorted Messy Stitches: White No. 01, Artistry de Blanco Element Pack, Torn Classic White Photo Frames No. 01, Stamped  Stitched Photo Masks No. 01 Brushes and Stamps, Chalkboard Photo Masks No. 01 Brushes and Stamps, Striping Masks Brushes and Stamps No. 01, Edge Overlays No. 01, Scribbling Brushes and Stamps No. 02 (Katie Pertiet); So Love You Brushes and Stamps (Ali Edwards).

Linda has rocked this page with its sweet colours and her fantastic use of the stamps. Creating that visual horizontal line with the paper masked to the stamp has given
this page such a balanced look, all of Ali’s wordart looks great all in a row like that, and the “I’m sweet on you” quote strip is the perfect finishing touch. Supplies
used: Vintage Press: Blush Solids Paper Pack, Chalkboard Photo Masks No. 01 Brushes and Stamps, Vintage Press: Blush Paper Pack, Crowning Affair: Understated Element
Pack, Striping Graphic No. 02, Ripped Quote Strips: Love Brushes and Stamps, Basic Tags No. 02, Vintage Press: Blush Element Pack, Drop Shadow Styles No. 02 (Katie
Pertiet); So Love You Brushes and Stamps (Ali Edwards).

And I too have used all three stamps on a page extending the photograph out beyond the frame by joining a couple of the Chalkboard photo masks together, turning the quote strip into a tangible element and stamping Ali’s quote on the background paper. Supplies
used: Chalkboard Photo Masks No.1, Ripped Quote Strips: Love Brushes & Stamps, Vintage Press: Chelsea Paper Pack, Frosted Winter Solids Paper Pack, Vintage PHoto
Frames Hearts (Katie Pertiet); Ripped and Stitched diy (No. 03) and (No. 04) (Lynn Grieveson); Nouveau Bloom paper pack (Andrea Victoria); So Love You Brushes and
Stamps (Ali Edwards); Brad Bonanza 2, Staple Its! (Pattie Knox).
