Color Spots Scrapbook Challenge: White Out

The mountains have several feet of snow here since winter is in full force. Cold temperatures are normal, and so is having hot cocoa on a regular basis. The white out my window inspired me for this months color challenge, white out! It defiantly may be a challenge, but hopefully a fun one at that!

A few CT and guest CT members were up for joining me with this white out challenge. Here are a few inspiration photos followed by our scrapbook pages.

Rachael (myssp) created this elegant page using several white elements. The lace, ribbons and snowflakes add beautiful texture. Notice Rachael didn’t use a black and white photo and how stunning everything turned out!Supplies used: January Color Challenge 011519 Freebie, Textured Whites Paper Pack No. 01Spill Frame Layers No. 18Christmas Garden Scrapbooking BundleWinter Whites Painted LayersCutting Files: Fused Words No. 01Tightly Kerned Titles Brushes and Stamps No. 03That is Love Brushes and StampsCoin Holder Photo Frames No. 06

When I (KimR+) thought of this color challenge, I new right away I wanted to create a page from a photo I took just a few weeks ago. We had a very white December and I loved watching my girls spend time out in the snow. Katie’s Textured Whites Paper stood out to me, not only because I love texture, but it reminded me of the snowballs my kids were making. Supplies used: ARTpack Winter Brushes and Stamps No. 02, ARTpacks Winter No 4, Blitzen Element PackBlue Bird Element PackDocuStack Layers No. 01Flake Scatters No. 01Instamatic Frames No. 06Love Letters Element PackMonthly Memories Vol. 02: Element Pack No. 01Quinn Sentiment PackRoughed Up Pocket Cards: Striped No. 02Stamp Sets: Winter Brushes and StampsTextured Whites Paper Pack No. 01Watery Flakes Brushes and Stamps No. 04

If you get a little discouraged with all of the white, be sure to check out Katie’s Drop Shadow Styles to add dimension to your page! These styles are my go to for creating shadows on my pages!  I hope you take the chance to play along with this months color challenge. Katie has generously provided us with a freebie to get you jump started on this challenge even more! When you complete your page, post them in the Color Challenge Gallery for everyone to see! If your page qualifies for the rewards program, then don’t forget to link up your page in the January Participation thread for proper credit.
