Color Spots Challenge: Summer Skies

The sun is out and shinning! School is almost out for the summer. My windows are open and I can hear the birds chirping, the kids laughing, and the neighbor mowing his lawn.  This is my favorite time of year! The anticipation of summer fun is in full swing. This months color inspiration was inspired by the summer sun. We will be playing with yellow, orange and green this month. Here are a few photos for inspiration.(photo credit)

Here is a little more inspiration from our CT and Guest CT!

Jana (jana) is first up with a stunning page. Just look at this little bee going to town. I adore the twisted dots that give the illusion of the bee’s flight to the flower. Her various stamps and overlays complete the page!Supplies used: Bold and Outlined Brushes and Stamps No. 01, Dictionary Page Overlays No. 03, Ephemera Strip Stamps Brushes and Stamps No. 01, Awesome Autumn Paper Pack, Watercolor Rainbow Paper Pack No. 03, Twisted Dots No. 01, Torn Templates No. 02, Botanical Colors Chartreuse Solids Paper Pack, Painted Photo Masks Brushes and Stamps No. 09, Blooming Blends No. 03, Catching Rainbows Element Pack

Deborrah (DivaMom96) was also up to the challenge with these colors as well. The multiple photos in the coin frame are a perfect companion to the large photo. Supplies used: Layer Works No. 607, Pinned: Enamel Stars No. 01, Curated Studio Mix Scrapbooking Kit No. 07

I (KimR+) wanted to document our fresh picked oranges the past two winters. I was inspired by the greenery in the inspiration photos as well as the green leaves in the photo. The wooden chairs in the last photo inspired me to go in search of the wooden words “fresh picked.”Supplies used: Apple Cider Mini Kit, Artsy Botanical: Cerrel Value Pack, Color Me Happy Solids Paper Pack, Cooked Element Pack, Mango Skies Mini Kit, Thin Classic Photo Frames Curled and Flat No. 01, Twisted Dots No. 01, Photo via Flickr
