These past few weeks here in Idaho have been some of the hottest of the summer. So for the Color Challenge this week I have chosen a sizzling hot color palette.
Here are some of the images that inspired me to choose these colors:
Here are a couple of pages that DD Team Members did for this challenge:
Melissa’s sizzling hot page is about a date night with her husband. I think this is such a cute photo of the two of them and a really creative way to use word art.
The products Melissa used are: Color My Love Kit, Looking for Love Solids Paper Pack, Classic Cardstock: Energy, Alphabetize Me Brushes and Stamps No. 05, Touch Up Paint No. 05, Stamped Stitched Twists Brushes and Stamps No. 01, Frame Hangers No. 01, Just Linens Paper Pack No. 28, and Layer Works No. 106
Debi scrapped a page about her obsession with a certain restaurant–Chipotle. I like the clever angle she used to divide the very cool photo and the card stock. And her brushwork is such a fun choice.
Debi’s product list includes: Thicker Inked Words No. 3, Cooked Solids Paper Pack, Cooked Digital Stamps, Cooked Element Pack, and Scholar Kit
I did a page to celebrate these hot summer days and the fun times my daughter has had at a nearby lake. I was so excited to use a new template coming out next weekend from Katie. I used it to create the large “sun” on my page. It is called “Really Awesome Layered Template.”
My product list includes: Bead Scatterings No. 04, Sacked Solids: Neutrals Paper Pack, Watery Washes No. 02 Brushes and Stamps, Color Study Flair: Orange No. 01, Pica Rue Kit, Elise Kit, Krafty Woods Paper Pack, Spot Dots No. 20 Paper Pack, Twisted STitches: Brown No. 01, Hey There Kit, DocuStacks No. 03 Value Pack, Little Snips Alphabet, In the Kitchen No. 01 Hand Drawn Brushes, Photo Clusters No. 12, Celebrating Multiples Hand Drawn Word Art Brushes and Stamps, Assorted Patterned Tapes: Fall No. 01,
Little Layette Kit, Swimmies Element Pack, Cardstock Tabs No. 03, and Layer Works No. 103.
I hope you will all join me in the color challenge and post your pages in the Color Challenge Gallery.
