Ready for another artsy challenge? I thought it would be fun to get things a little watery this time around There are so many beautiful things in the store, masks, chevrons, arrows, the list goes on and on. I bet you’ll be able to find something already in your stash that you could use to create a lovely page. Of course Katie was kind enough to create a beautiful little freebie pack for us, so feel free to use any of those supplies. The link will expire on 6/27.
As always I have a few examples to show you
I love how Carol used the watery brushes to extend the photo onto the canvas. So beautifully done!
She used: L. Grieveson: Jans PP and Hint at it Crosshatch. K. Pertiet: spot dot flourishes brushes and stamps, watery spots #5, bubble clusters #1, woodgrain photo masks #1, watery spots #6, watery spots #7, watery spots #8, charted brushes #1, Maybe Tomorrow Kit, Plastic alphabet Navy Blue, Edge overlays #2
This one is by Jana, can you say water?? Everything looks watery, it’s just gorgeous all over. Here is what she used to create this stunner: K. Pertiet: Halloween Memories Cardstocks, Watery spots #6, Watery corners and Edgers #2, Star Glows #2, cloudscape brushes, letterbox simplicity PP #1, maybe not solids PP.
Here is the page I created for the challenge
Since I am currently hiding out in Charleston, I couldn’t resist using Katie’s great painting tutorial for this gorgeous house. Using the watery brushes it’s so easy to blend the photo into the background. Here are my supplies: K. Pertiet: Arctic Whites #2, fine line borderlines #11, loosely labeled #7, watery splash, watery spots #1, clock face, hauted twists #1, buttons from My Wonderful Adventure kit, Duet buttons and plastic buttons stars
I hope you will find some inspiration here. You have until Sunday at Noon to share your page in the Artsy Challenge Gallery. Use all Designer Digitals Products to be able to participate in the random drawing for a $5 GC to the store and most of all have fun!
