AAM Scrapbook Challenge: In Other Words…

Hey Ladies, Janet (JALong) and I are going to be your All About Me challenge hosts and we have come up with what we hope you’ll find to be some fun topics to scrap in the coming months. This time around, your challenge is to describe yourself using words that are NOT “descriptive” words.  For example, are you chocolate or vanilla, rugby or chess,  Jeep or Mercedes, candle or lightbulb?  You could describe yourself as a certain color, shape, famous sculpture, or artist.  The list is endless really.  Hope you’ll give it a try.

To give you some ideas, here’s are some pages that Joanne and Beckie and I created for the challenge.

Joanne used several words to describe herself and paired them with photos for her AAM page. Joanne scrapped this wonderful collection of things that describe who she is, things she likes and things that are important to her.

(Here are the supplies that Joanne used to create her page: Adventure Boxed Template Album No2, Summer Bursts Paper Pack, Stormy Weather Kit, Blackett Hall Paper Pack, Clean Stitched Hearts: White, Arlesey Element Pack, Vintage Photo Frames No30, Life Lines Element Pack, Chalkboard Summer Fun Brushes and Stamps, Messy Life Lines Brushes and Stamps Vol. 02.)

Becky’s take on the challenge had me smiling all morning. Her “description” of herself came about during a conversation with her kids at dinnertime.

I was best able to describe myself when I used opposites.  I could then ask myself, Am I this or that?

(Here is the product list for my page: Fading Dots Paper Pack, Marlow Painted Accents, Scribbling Brushes No5, Painted Photo Masks No6, Artsy Layered Blends No3, Thin Classic Frames No1, Page Blends No5.)

I hope this challenge inspires you and if you’re comfortable sharing please post your page in the AAM Gallery.  If your page qualifies for the Rewards Program, then don’t forget to post a link to your page in the March Challenge Participation Thread for proper credit.

Have fun scrapping. I’m looking forward to seeing your pages.  :O)
